Babolat is a French based Tennis Company that is well known
for their tennis rackets. Many professional tennis players, two
of them being Rafael Nadal and Leander Paes use Babolat tennis
rackets today. Double lines that run across the strings of the
racket frame and the racket face easily identify Babolat tennis
rackets. There are many different styles of the Babolat tennis
rackets; one is the Pure Drive series which is a blue racket,
this series consists of the pure drive team (used by Carlos
Moya and Kim Clijsters), and also the Pure Drive Team Plus.
The second series consists of the Babolat Pure Control Team
and the Babolat Pure Control Team Plus; these rackets are red
with white stripes used by the tennis player Justin Gimelstob.
The third series consists of the Babolat Pure Storm Team, this
is an black and orange racket that is used by the tennis player
Fernando Gonzalez. Then, there is the Aero series that consists
of the Babolat AeroPro Drive, which is a black racket with
yellow stripes on it, and it is used by the tennis player
Rafael Nadal.
The Aero racket is made to give the player the best spin and
head speed because of its aero modular style. A series that was
released most recently is called Pure Drive Roddick, this
racket is the plus version that is named after, and used by
Andy Roddick.
Babolat tennis rackets continue to be popular for famous
athletes and everyday tennis players in our community. You can
also find some Babolat tennis rackets on saile if you shop
around or search online for sales on Babolat tennis rackets.
There are two Babolat tennis rackets that are less expensive
that I would recommend if you are looking to spend a little
less money; the Babolat XS 102 racket is perfect for the
beginning to intermediate player, it uses Babolat’s Extra
Sweetspot tool to make the sweetspot larger, which helps with
the players consistency.
It is 102 square inches, 16/20 string pattern; on the other
hand, there is also the Babolat XS 105 racket that is also good
for a beginning to intermediate players, it’s 105 square
inches, and also uses the Extra Sweetspot, with a standard
length, and 16/20 string pattern. Both of these rackets cost as
low as $119 however, you can probably find them on special and
discover an even lower price if you shop around.
Babolat tennis rackets have had a rise in popularity for
their quality since they began in 1875 by Pierre Babolat who
created the first strings made from natural gut. In 1994
Babolat became a complete tennis company, from this point on
the company flourished. Today, professional athletes such as
the ones I mentioned above, as well as many others all over the
world including local amateur players use Babolat tennis
rackets. I would recommend this high quality racket to a
beginning or intermediate tennis player.
